2026 FIBArk NOTICE:

For the 2026 event, there is a possibility of low water levels. River events can change up to the day of the event! Please check your email frequently.

All registration payments are final. If an event is canceled due to low water levels, your registration payment will be donated to the FIBArk non-profit organization and continue to provide access to education, events, and programs in whitewater paddle sports.

Body board surf comp
NEW for 2026! This year, we want to come together to enjoy the wave, the competition, but most of all to support the FIBArk youth paddling program. We're welcoming body boarders of all ages! The Freestyle event will be a jam session where athletes will have a chance to show the judges and crowd their freestyle moves while they take turns throwing down in the playhole.

running races
tenderfoot HILL CLIMB
This one-of-a-kind race is a signature kick-off to FIBArk events. Beginning at the stop light at 1st and F Streets, participants run and scramble straight up Tenderfoot (“S” Mountain) and back down. Believe it or not, the winners do it in less than 12 minutes! Prizes go to the top three male and female competitors, middle of the pack and the oldest runner. ALL participants qualify for bragging rights!

LIVE MUSIC
Located in Salida’s historic downtown, Riverside Park and amphitheater is the center of FIBArk activity and entertainment. Enjoy 3 nights and 4 days of live music throughout the weekend right alongside the banks of the Arkansas River. You won't want to miss this year's lineup!

Keep an ear out for all of the kid-centric specialties coming to the play-ground side of Riverside Park.
